Ana Maresca holds a Law Degree from the University of Barcelona and a PhD in Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Barcelona.
She began her professional career as a lawyer and partner at Bufete Maresca for 15 years, where she specialised in Administrative Law. She later worked at the Agbar Group for more than 11 years, where she was Legal Director of Aigües de Barcelona and, subsequently, Director of Regulation and Governance of the Agbar-Suez Group until 2022.
Since the beginning of her career, she has combined her professional practice with teaching, and is currently a lecturer in administrative law on the Master’s Degree in Law and Access to the Legal Profession at Esade, since 2011, and lecturer and coordinator of administrative law on the Access to the Legal Profession and Procurement Course at the Instituto Superior de Economía ISDE, since 2009. She has taught on the Master’s Degree in Business Law at the Faculty of Business Sciences of the University of Barcelona (1998-2010) and at the Universitat Abat Oliba on different courses (1996-2010).
She has been the director of the Training Centre of the Chamber of Concessionaires and Companies linked to the Public Sector (CCIES) since 2016 and a member of its Legal Committee since 2015.
She is secretary of the Administrative Law Section of the Barcelona Bar Association (ICAB).
In 2021 she was President of the Agrupació de Serveis d’Aigua de Catalunya (ASAC) until 2023 as a member.
She is the author of several publications and articles on administrative law.
