Joaquim Sallarès has a degree in Law from the University of Barcelona. He has completed several postgraduate courses at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC): a postgraduate course in Urban Planning Techniques (1991), a postgraduate course in Urban Land Reallocation and Compensation (1994), and a postgraduate course in Cadastral Taxation (1995).
He started working at the Abel – Lluch law firm until 1998. He was subsequently a partner at Mullerat Abogados until June 2006, and a director at Cuatrecasas Gonçalves Pereira until November 2007, when he joined Tornos Abogados, where he is the director of the town planning department.
He has taught urban planning and real estate courses at the University of Castilla La Mancha, the Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economía, and ESADE. He has also published several articles on urban planning and real estate law.
His specialties are urban planning, expropriation, tourism, and real estate law.
Recognized since 2020 by the European directory Best Lawyers in the categories Administrative Law, Planning and Real Estate Law.
He is a lawyer at the Barcelona Bar Association (ICAB) and a member of its administrative law section.
